Resolution

The determination of a market's outcome at settlement, based on the market's stated rules. When a market resolves yes, yes contracts pay $1 and no contracts pay nothing, and vice versa.

Every Kalshi market has a resolution source and criteria written into its rules, and disputes are decided against those rules, not against what feels fair. Reading the resolution criteria before trading is how you avoid being surprised by an edge case, especially in markets with ambiguous wording.
